Our 1st Stafford was
obtained in 1988, when she died at a young age we were distraught
and immediately went out and purchased another dog. This chap
turned out to be Cowboy High Ball who was to be our introduction
into the show world. We commenced showing in 1991 and his first
show he qualified for Crufts and from that moment in time, we where
bitten by the show bug. Charlie went on to win a RCC but he is well
known for his smiling face on key rings, posters and greeting cards.
When Charlie was about 2 years of
age, we purchased another male Stafford. A red dog for my husband
Trevor to show. This dog’s pedigree name was Jagsstaff Liquid Gold
alias Jazz. Jazz obtained his stud book number and did his fair
share of winning but his main attribute was his wonderful
temperament. Unfortunately Jazz fell ill very suddenly and died at
the young age of 7 years.
Keira (Pseudostaff Arrianna at
Niatona) and Grace (Sparstaff Moonwalker) came to our home in 1992
and 1993 respectively; these two girls commenced our breeding under
the Niatona affix. Both the girls where shown and whereas Grace had
more success in the show ring, Keira excelled in the whelping box.
From these two very
special
ladies, we are a further 5 generations down the line from where we
commenced. The offspring from these girls can be found throughout
the site.
When we decide to have a litter,
it is always the foremost thought of keeping one of the pups to
improve on what we already have. All our breeding stock are
health tested
as per the guidelines of the KC/BVA and UK Breed Clubs that we are
members of.
